FORM
You can use two basic forms
when using question words to form questions.
1.
QUESTION WORD + VERB
+ SUBJECT
- Who are they?
2. QUESTION WORD + VERB
+ SUBJECT + VERB
- Where does he work?
QUESTION WORDS
- Who? – A person.
- What? – A fact/thing.
- Where? – A location/
place.
- When? – Day/year/month/time.
- How? – Method.
EXAMPLES
- Who is she?
- What do they do?
- Where does Sara live?
- When are you leaving?
- Why are they going to the
party?
- How do you cook couscous?
