-    We use A LOT OF, SOME and ANY with indefinite amounts.
-    We can use A LOT OF with affirmative and negative statements.
-    We use SOME with affirmative statements.
-    We use ANY with negative statements.

EXAMPLES

-    I drink a lot of water.
-    There isn’t a lot of traffic today.
-    There is some milk in the fridge.
-     I have some money left over.
-    There isn’t any traffic.
-    There aren’t any students at school today.
